Health Goals {August 2018}

9:00 AM

Welcome to my health goals series where I share my monthly weight loss focused goals. These posts will also contain my previous month's goals and an overview of how well I did on them. If you'd like to see how my July goals went and what my goals are for next month, then keep reading!

July 2018 Review

Out of my three goals last month, I was successful with two of them. I tracked diligently all month long and ended up getting in an extra unplanned workout for a total of 23. While I did not lose the 10 pounds I was hoping for, I did end up losing 3 pounds and am realizing I need to be more realistic with my weight loss goals. I lose weight at a snail's pace so I know I'm lucky if I lose a pound a week. I am taking that failure as a lesson learned to set my bar a little lower for next month.

Now here are my goals for next month!

1. Track Daily
This is a staple goal at this point to just keep myself in check. I am continuing to dual track by using My Fitness Pal and paper tracking. Doing both of these keeps me 100% honest and seemed to work well last time around so I am hoping it continues to be successful.

2. 23 Workouts
Another staple goal, this will be a workout for each week day in the month.

3. At least 2 vegetarian meals a week
I have been incorporating more meatless dinner options for awhile now but I want to make more of an effort to keep up with it.

4. Lose 4 pounds
Taking a note from my monthly weight loss goals previously, I am being more realistic with attempting to lose a pound a week all month.

When I post my September goals, I will be including an overview of how well I did during this month. I will continue doing this for each month to keep myself accountable and to see where I need to improve.
