Kool-Aid Play Dough {Pinterest Classroom Project}

Welcome to my series "Pinterest Classroom Project"! This series is based around my cooking series, "Pinterest Test Kitchen". Every other month, I post four classroom projects or experiments and let all of you vote for one week on which you'd most like to see tested. This month's winner was "Kool-Aid Play Dough" which was originally created by "kids activities Blog", click here to view the full post.

The Final Product & Review:

The best part of this project is just how simple it is to come together. With just two easy steps, it will work well with almost any age range. I did not realize how important cooling the dough down would be so do keep in mind to let it sit for about five to ten minutes before working with it. Mine also ended up needing about an extra tablespoon of flour so you may need to play around with the measurements. The texture ended up being just like play dough and the scent from the juice mix did linger. The coloring was perfect as well, but does bleed easily until it sets.

Both of my kids were able to mold it to many different shapes and enjoyed playing with it. They were excited to make other colors as well and we were able to use this as a part of our homeschooling group. I highly recommend giving it a try!
