Dinner Ideas {8/23/17}

9:00 AM

Welcome to my menu planning series! This series is all about me sharing my family's week of dinners. I prepare dinner every week day and occasionally on weekends. I try my best to switch up our meals fairly often and am always looking for new recipes to try. I am hoping this series inspires some of you and also keeps me from being too repetitive with our meals. I will be posting this series every two weeks as voted on by all of you. I will also be including the SmartPoints value for each meal in case any fellow Weight Watchers members are interested. Enjoy this week's menu!

Spiced Chicken, Slow Roasted Potatoes, Peas
SmartPoints Value: 11 points
This is a recipe from a Weight Watchers slow cooker magazine. This chicken is absolutely delicious and truly melts in your mouth!

Baked Ziti, Garlic Bread
SmartPoints Value: 16 points
This was another recipe from the Weight Watchers slow cooker magazine and was pretty tasty. I found it to be a bit too rich for my tastes, so a smaller portion size does the trick. My kids and husband absolutely loved it!

Fish Cakes, Rice Pilaf, Glazed Carrots
SmartPoints Value: 13 points
This was a special request from my daughter. The fish cakes are super delicious and are paired with two of my favorite sides.

Poached Chicken, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Corn
SmartPoints Value: 10 points
This is one of my favorite simple meals, the chicken packs a lot of flavor despite it's look. I poach it in a homemade vegetable broth for about half an hour and it comes tender and delicious!

Barbecue Hot Dogs, Veggie Fries, Mixed Vegetables
SmartPoints Value: 18 points
I like to keep Friday's dinner fairly easy and these barbecue hot dogs hit the spot. I paired them with our favorite veggie fries and it made for a family favorite!

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into my kitchen and menu planning for the week. If I have recipes on my blog for any of the meals posted, then the text will be linked in their description. If you would like a recipe for any meals, please let me know in the comments down below.
