Easter Bunny Portrait Craft

9:00 AM

With Easter around the corner, I wanted to share the craft that our classroom is doing. We made a simple Easter bunny portrait with an Easter egg basket. Keep reading if you want to see how to make this for yourself!

What You'll Need:

- Foam sheets, any colors you prefer
- Scissors
- Marker
- Pom Pom balls
- Glitter, any colors you prefer
- Glue

How To Make This Project

Step 1:
Begin by outlining your shapes, you will need the bunny outline, the ears outline, and stomach outline.

Step 2:
Next cut out your shapes, then glue on the ear shape to the center of the ears on the original bunny portrait.

Step 3:
Then glue on the stomach outline.

Step 4:
Begin decorating your bunny as you prefer. We added an eye, an outline of a nose, a smile, and a pom pom ball as a tail.

Step 5:
On the leftover sheets of foam paper, begin cutting out egg shapes. You can make as many as you want but make sure they can fit inside your basket design.

Step 6:
Glue your bunny portrait on to the green felt paper, this is to be used as a grassy background.

Step 7:
Design your basket with your marker, make this however you want.

Step 8:
At this point, you can make glue designs on the eggs directly and then add glitter on top or simply draw a design. This part is up to you. Glue the eggs inside of the basket design.

Step 9:
The final step is to create a message. We decided on the phrase "Happy Easter" and achieved this by drawing it out with glue and then alternating the colored glitter on top. Shaking off any excess.

Allow it to fully dry before hanging up for display.

I hope you enjoyed this craft and in the comments below, let me know if you give it a try!

As always any requests, questions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Talk to you soon!
