Dinner Ideas {Week 1}

9:00 AM

Welcome to my menu planning series! This series is all about me sharing my family's week of dinners. I make dinner for the family every weekday evening, on weekends we eat leftovers or go out to eat. I try my best to switch up our meals fairly often and am always looking for new recipes to try. I am hoping this series inspires some of you and also keeps me from being too repetitive with our meals. I will be posting this series every two weeks, which was voted on by all of you. I will be including the SmartPoints value for each meal in case any Weight Watchers members are interested. Enjoy this week's menu!

Monday
Taco Salad
SmartPoints Value: 9 points
This is definitely a staple and repeated meal in our house, since everyone enjoys it and it is easy to prepare.

Tuesday
Maple-Dijon Chicken Drumsticks, Italian Orzo, Steamed Baby Carrots
SmartPoints Value: 13 points
This was my birthday meal, so I went with a new recipe that was also not too much work. The chicken was super tender and absolutely delicious!

Wednesday
Cappalini with Lemon & Garlic, Homemade Garlic Knot
SmartPoints Value: 12 points
One of my favorite meatless meals that is light and super delicious. Click here for the full recipe.

Thursday
Chicken Parmesan Sliders, Zucchini Fries, Mixed Vegetables
SmartPoints Value: 11 points
This was a meal with two new recipes to me, the first is the slider which is basically a simplified chicken Parmesan and the other is baked zucchini fries. Both were super delicious and kid approved! Click here for the slider recipe and here for the vegetable fries.

Friday
Homemade Pizza and a Southwestern Side Salad
SmartPoints Value: 11 points
One of my kids favorites as they love to make their own pizzas with their favorite toppings. My pizza had no cheese, extra sauce, turkey pepperoni, and green peppers.

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into my kitchen and menu planning for the week. If I have recipes on my blog for any of the meals posted then the text will be linked in their description. If you would like a recipe for any of the meals posted, please let me know in the comments below. Click here to see my last edition of my menu planning series.

In the comments down below, let me know your favorite pizza toppings.

As always any requests, questions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Talk to you soon!
