The Preparation

I noticed that my brownies were a bit too moist so I would recommend sticking with just a classic brownie mix without any added chocolate or mixtures. I ended up not being able to get clean cuts due to the brownie falling apart in some parts. Again, I relate these issues to the batter I chose and not the recipe itself.

Due to the difficulties with cutting, I was only able to get 6 triangles and ended up using the rest of the brownies as regular squares. The original recipe ended up with 12 triangles so be prepared to have an odd amount depending on how your cuts work.

I also advise adding the candy cane stumps before decorating the brownies themselves, which I did not catch in the original recipe until I had already decorated them.

The Final Product & Review

The taste of the brownies will obviously depend on the batter you choose, mine was very moist and rich with chocolate so I recommend this mix option if you have it available to you. The assembly process was simple enough but again, this will depend on how your brownies bake and the overall texture of your mix. I love the simplicity of this dessert and think it makes for a great addition to any holiday party.

Keep in mind that every month all of you get to decide which recipe goes into the next Pinterest Test Kitchen, so keep an eye out for next month's poll! If you are new to this series, every month I post a poll with four recipe options from my various Pinterest recipe boards. After one week of voting, the recipe with the most votes will be tested and reviewed by the end of the month. This helps me try something new and put my Pinterest recipes to good use.
