Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer Review

9:00 AM

Today I am reviewing a new product from one of my favorite skincare lines, Valentia. This is their Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer that claims to help lighten pigmentation marks and enhance the radiance of your overall complexion. Before I get into my review, I want to go over what the ingredients are in this product as well as the benefits they each pack.

This product contains five key ingredients.

- Botanical Hyaluronic Acid which is a plant based substance that penetrates deep into the skin to secure moisture, support elasticity, and plump skin from within.
- Kojic Acid which is used for it's skin-lightening properties, it is an antioxidant that helps to control melanin production and prevent dark spots naturally.
- Ginseng which boosts skin-firming collagen, fights wrinkles, and gives the skin a brighter look.
- Safflower Oil which is rich in linoleic acid, it is an essential fatty acid that helps to repair natural moisture barriers and provide protection.
- Shea Butter which is a nut that contains a combination of regenerative vitamins and essential fatty acids, providing moisture.

One of my favorite things about Valentia is how up front they are with their ingredient lists and how well they describe their products, even giving an estimated time of how long each product will last you. The ability to know exactly what is going onto my skin is a crucial part of my routine as I want to use as natural of products as possible. Valentia continues to impress me with their line of skincare products and options.

This moisturizer comes in a 4oz bottle and claims to last you about 4 to 6 months. It costs $25.00 and to me, is a very fair price considering the size. With this moisturizer you are going to notice some short and long term results. In the short term it claims to provide all day hydration, instantly restore radiance, and nourishes tight skin. The long term claims are that it will lighten dark spots, even skin tone, and diminish fine lines.

The formula is quite thick and I like how the pump provides a small dispenser so you can easily get just the right amount out and not have to worry about getting too much. I found just two pumps was enough to cover my entire face and it applies very smoothly. It carries a nice, light citrus scent that does linger for a bit on the skin. I found that it took a few minutes to fully dry and set in the skin, and once it does it fully moisturizes for a long period of time. I tested this product out for about one week, using it twice daily. I would apply to my cleansed face in the morning and then again after I cleaned my face before bed.

Here is my bare face after using the moisturizer for just a few days.

I suffer from hyper-pigmentation, hormonal breakouts, some minor fine lines, and dry skin. I feel like my skin is already maintaining a dewy, bright look that I have never had before. My skin feels refreshed and almost like I hit a reset button. I am very impressed with just how quickly I am seeing results with this product. I have tried several moisturizers and this is by far my most favorite.

I also use it before applying my makeup and have found that it makes my makeup last longer and look more smooth and natural. Here is a closeup of my skin with my makeup on, to see how smooth my skin appears even with makeup applied.

Overall, I am very impressed with how well this product works, especially in such a short period of time. I am also impressed with the price point as I feel the high quality ingredients alone make it worth the price. I can not see myself using any other moisturizer now that I have this as a part of my daily routine.

I continue to enjoy this brand of skincare and am excited to try out more of their products soon. I highly recommend giving this brand a try if you haven't yet.
