Menu Planning Series {Week 4}

9:00 AM

Welcome to Week 4 of my Menu Planning Series! This series is all about me sharing my family's week of dinners. I make dinner for the family every week day evening, on weekends we eat leftovers and sometimes go out to eat. I try my best to switch up our meals fairly often and am always looking for new recipes to try. I am hoping this series inspires some of you and also keeps me from being too repetitive with our meals. I will be posting this series every two weeks, which was voted on by all of you. Enjoy!

Week 4 Menu Planning

Monday

Steamed Corn, Turkey Dogs, Hamburgers, Eggplant Fries, Orange Cream Cocktail, Blueberry/Cherry Cheesecake
In the US, Monday was Memorial Day and to celebrate we had a barbecue so the menu for that day was a bit more full. For the main meal we had grilled hamburgers, turkey dogs, eggplant Parmesan fries, and steamed corn. I also made some orange cream cocktails and a cheesecake that was topped with half blueberry and half cherry.

Tuesday

Buffalo Chicken, Green Beans, Cornbread Stuffing
A fairly simple meal but very tasty and filling. This is breaded buffalo chicken strips, cornbread stuffing, and steamed green beans.

Wednesday

Chili Mac
This was a special request from my kiddos as it is one of their favorites. This is our chili mac which is basically a homemade version of a popular Hamburger Helper dish. The best part to me is the sauce I make as it contains lots of pureed vegetables yet tastes like a nice blended marinara sauce.

Thursday

Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sandwich, Barbecue Quinoa Chips, Pickles
I have been craving Chick-Fil-A all week and am trying to eat more healthy so I decided to make my own. The sandwiches were made by following this recipe by Hilah Cooking and it truly does taste like one straight from the restaurant. I served ours along side some barbecue quinoa chips and pickles.

Friday

I was originally planning a breakfast dinner for this day which included pancakes, hash-browns, and turkey bacon but we had a family event pop up so we instead ate out. These things happen and we ended up cooking that dinner on Saturday but I forgot to take a picture, just trust that it was super tasty!

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into my kitchen and menu planning for the week. If I have recipes on my blog for any of the meals posted then the text will be linked in their description. If you would like a recipe for any of the meals I have posted, please let me know!
