Skincare Routine
{Spring 2016}

9:00 AM

Today I wanted to share with all of you my current skincare routine for the Spring season. I suffer from dry skin with hyper-pigmentation and hormonal breakouts. I am also beginning to see some fine lines throughout my face so I do incorporate products to help with all my skin issues. I also switch up products based on the season, any changes in my skin, and as I try out new products. I have two parts to my routine, one for the morning and one for the evening. I also incorporate a face mask of some kind at least once a week depending on what my skin is in the most need of. I am linking each product under it's picture if you would like more information!

My Morning Skincare Routine

I keep my morning skincare quite simple, I focus on cleaning my face and then simply moisturizing. I sometimes wear makeup and will apply after this portion of my routine but most days, I simply just have moisturizer on or a tinted moisturizer.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser
This is my all time favorite cleanser and it is perfect for getting your skin completely clean without any irritation whatsoever, it carries light and fresh scents to it. For the first part of my routine, I simply clean my face with this cleanser.

I will then moisturize with one of these three options.

Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF 15
This is the one I use the most often as it gives me enough hydration to the skin and provides a small amount of SPF protection.

Coola Sport SPF 50 Fresh Mango Moisturizer
This is the moisturizer I will use when I am working outside or doing any prolonged outdoor activities as it has a higher SPF. This moisturizer smells absolutely amazing with it's fruity notes!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector in Fair to Light Shade
If I want some light coverage and don't feel like adding any heavy makeup, this is one of my favorite tinted moisturizers and it also contains a decent amount of SPF. Again, I rotate these moisturizers depending on what I am doing that day, I do not use all of them in one day.

My Evening Skincare Routine

Before bed, I continue with the second part of skincare regimen. With this part of my routine, I focus on a thicker hydration for my skin to have all through the night, as well as products targeted more toward my skin issues.

Borghese Fango Purificante Clay Cleanser
This is the cleanser that I have been using lately which is the first step of my routine, if I have worn makeup that day then I begin by using a makeup wipe to remove the majority and follow up with a cleanser. I make sure my skin is fully cleansed and dried off before going to the next step.

Klorane Make-up Remover Water with Soothing Cornflower
If I have worn makeup, I will use this to help remove tougher eye makeup such as eyeliner and mascara. This really cleans up even the most waterproof mascara with ease and has a nice, floral scent.

Valentia Clear Life Revitalizing Serum
Before applying my moisturizer, I use this serum all over my face and allow it to fully dry. This serum has worked wonders on making my hyper-pigmentation less flared and evening out my entire skin-tone. I allow this to fully set before moving on to the next step.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for Extra-Dry Skin
After my face is completely dry then I apply a moisturizer all over. This is the best moisturizer for overnight wear as it is thick, creamy, and because it is a gel it hydrates deeply.

I will then follow this step up either with a face oil targeted on fine lines or with a specified eye cream, depending on my needs and what products I am trying out at the time. These are the two products I am currently using. This is the last step in my routine and I allow everything to fully set and dry before I lay down for the night. If I am doing a mask of any kind, then I will do that before starting this routine.

Mitchell and Peach Flora No.1 Fine Radiance Face Oil

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream
