The Final Product & Review

Overall, this recipe is by far one of the easiest I have prepared in this series so far. The idea of starting with pre-made sugar cookie dough really cuts down on the difficulty level. I am sure you could easily use your own recipe for sugar cookie dough if you prefer to. I try to stick to the original recipe as much as possible in order to properly review it so I just used the pre-made dough. I loved how minty these were while baking! I was concerned about the amount of chocolate in these at first as they looked more chocolate than mint but they were perfectly balanced when fully baked.

I ended up baking them about 10 minutes as I prefer a more soft cookie, if you like a crisp cookie then I would suggest to bake for an extra minute or two. These taste like a true mint chocolate chip flavor and give just enough sweetness mixed with the zest of a fresh mint taste. I found them to be one of the more unique cookie flavors I have had and think they would make for a great addition to any St. Patrick's Day party!

Keep in mind, every month all of you get to decide which recipe goes into the next Pinterest Test Kitchen, so keep an eye out for next month's poll! If you are new to this series, every month I post a poll with four recipe options from my various Pinterest recipe boards. After one week of voting, the recipe with the most votes will be tested and reviewed by the end of the month. This helps me try something new and put my Pinterest recipes to good use.
