Home Decor: Master Bedroom
{Update!}

9:00 AM

Today I wanted to share an updated tour of our master bedroom. We have not had a lot of free time to dedicate to decorating and painting but we have finally finished up our master bedroom redesign. We will be buying new furniture in the near future, but the overall look is complete and I wanted to share our hard work!

If you missed my original post about my plans for our bedroom, as well as some before pictures then click here to view it.

We will begin with the original look:

As you can tell we moved into a very beige house and I could not wait to add some color!

Here are the colors we chose.

We went with a light blue on the trim and a grey on the walls.

As you can see we have yet to get a new bed or bedset but I have finished the painting and added a tree decal and some small decorative mirrors to the wall. We did rearrange the bedroom a bit by moving the bed to the other side of the room.

I also changed all the outlet covers from the white plastic to a nickel metal plate.

I also moved my vanity next to a window so I could have natural light when applying my makeup. I have a small picture frame with some family pictures on the wall there as well. We have no curtain on this window as the curtain rod we purchased did not come with the correct pieces. I will be hanging a sheer off-white curtain here.

The curtains I chose for the double window were purchased from Wal-mart, they are a lighter blue than they appear in this picture and have a nice white design that flows well in the room. Unfortunately, my cat bent the curtain rod within a minute of me hanging these so excuse the uneven look.

This is probably my favorite part of the bedroom, I just love the color scheme and how it flows on this part of the room.

Here is the final comparison!

I really am loving how things are coming together and I feel like once we have the updated furniture then it will be truly complete. I will likely update with one final set of pictures once we are finished furnishing it.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my update on our home decorating series, in the comments below let me know if you have any current home projects.

As always any requests, questions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Talk to you soon!
