December 2015 Monthly Favorites

9:00 AM

This month's favorites are some new discoveries as well as rediscovering some products that I had not used in some time and found a new love for. The majority of these products were also discovered through my beauty subscriptions so I am excited to see that I am getting good use out of all the samples I receive. Which in turn makes me excited to see what products I will be receiving during this year.

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara
This mascara is an oldie but a goodie. I received this in a previous Birchbox and had used it for some time but always felt in between about the formula. This month, I really fell in love with the formula and especially the brush. The brush has a slight curve in the middle that perfectly aligns with the shape of my eyelashes. It only takes a few coats to achieve the look I want and it does not flake or dry out easily.

Lather honey moisture mask with propolis extract
I received this mask in my December Ipsy Glambag and have used it every night since receiving it. Not only does it carry a sweet scent that I like but it also moisturizes very well throughout the entire night, I suffer from dry skin that becomes even more dry during the winter months, this mask has been extremely helpful in combating all my dry skin issues.

Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion Foundation in shade 105 (Classic Ivory)
I discovered this product mostly by accident as my go to foundation was sold out and I needed a new bottle immediately. So, I did some quick research and decided to try this one out. I don't find it as full coverage as my other foundation but it does cover quite nicely. The formula is very easy to apply and does not irritate my skin. I have found this to be my second favorite foundation and one that I will use on days where I don't need full coverage.

OFRA Eyeshadow & Highlighter {Bliss}
This entire past month I was leaning toward neutral shimmery eye-shadows when doing my makeup and this old favorite became my new best friend all over again. This eye-shadow is extremely pigmented and has such a beautiful color payoff. It also doubles as a highlighter and is truly a unique and beautiful shade. I used this as a part of my New Year's look as well. This was a product that I discovered thanks to my Ipsy subscription!

MICA Beauty Cosmetics Eye Primer
I do not own any "high-end" primers aside from this one that I received in one of my Ipsy glam bags. This primer was one of my go to's this month, mostly due to me going through my makeup and rediscovering it. I like that the formula is not greasy nor too wet. It's a dry formula that easily applies and holds on to the eyelid very well. It provides a great base for long lasting eye-shadow.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my favorites from last month.
