Top 10 Winter Lipsticks

9:00 AM

I am the type of person who does change up their makeup looks throughout the seasons. I figured since winter is around the corner then it's the perfect time to share with all of you my go to lipstick choices during the season. By no means are these the only lipsticks I use and I also use them during other seasons but I would say these are the colors I gravitate more toward when it's cold outside. I hope you enjoy a peek into my lip color choices!

ELF Glossy Lip Gloss  in Kiss n Tell
This is a lip gloss that is very pigmented and gives the classic dull red shade that stays shiny and lasts quite awhile through eating and drinking. I got this last Christmas through a gift set and am not able to find it on the ELF cosmetics website so it may be limited edition. I would recommend trying out their glossy lip glosses as the price is right and the pigmentation is amazing.

ELF Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose
While reds are my go during this time of the year, sometimes I do a brighter eye look and will pair it with a more neutral tone lip color. This is one of my all time favorites and I love how affordable it is. This product does go on matte and has decent overall staying power.

Hikari Lipstick in Cabernet
Out of all my red lipsticks, I would have to say this is one of my absolute favorites. It has the right red coloring for my pale skin tone and has a wonderful moisturizing formula. It also lasts quite awhile and applies with ease without smudging.

LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Glam Life
Thanks to my Birchbox subscription, I was introduced to their new line of makeup which includes these lipsticks. This shade is a berry plum and is more unique than other shades I own yet is not overly dark. It has a fairly moisturizing formula and it sets quickly. I really enjoy how pigmented it is as well.

LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Wildest Dreams
This is another Birchbox LOC lipstick, this one is a more true red color. This red is so pigmented and absolutely stunning. It is more of a cool red shade but still very vibrant. It does have a matte finish and will last throughout the day without smudging or needing too many touch ups. I really enjoy the pigmentation and overall formula.

MAC "Dame Edna" Amplified Lipstick in Coral Polyp
This is probably my brightest of all my red lipsticks and it is a limited edition shade that is no longer available but MAC does make similar shades. This color can be quite shocking at first but it's formula allows for it be layered so you can keep the color more toned down or turned all the way up. Like with all MAC lipsticks, it has a pleasant sweet scent and is very long lasting.

MAC "Venomous Villains" Lipstick in Violetta
On the same note of bright and vibrant lip colors, this is one of my all time favorite purples. This packaging was limited edition but the color itself is a permanent product. The beautiful violet purple shade stands out and really goes well with any holiday look. I love how unique this shade is!

Mirenesse Glossy Kiss in #14 Perfect Kiss
If you are looking for a unique and one of a kind red lipstick then this is it. Not only is this lipstick extremely moisturizing but the way the golden hues glimmer throughout the red is a true holiday lip color. I have yet to find something similar and love how beautiful this color combo looks.

Model Co Party Proof Matte Lipstick in Kitty
My Birchbox subscription also introduced me to this brand of cosmetics and with this limited edition shade, I fell in love. This lipstick packs a lot of color with ease and has a nice sweet scent to it. I love how well the pinky nude tones go with any eye look.

trèStiQe Mini Lip Crayon in Chile Red
Last but not least, one of my more recent red lipstick discoveries is this bright and true red shade. It compliments a neutral eye look with ease and provides a matte finish to get you through the day. I love how pigmented the formula is and how quickly it sets. This has become one of my new go to lip colors this past month.
