Pagoda Chicken Potstickers Review

9:00 AM

Today I am reviewing the Pagoda Chicken Potstickers! I have previously reviewed the Pork Potstickers, click here if you missed that.

I found my Pagoda snack products at my local Kroger, I have found that they have the best selection when it comes to these products. I also typically find them on sale there so be sure to check your weekly ad if you have a Kroger Co. store near you!

I began by cooking according to the stove-top directions. When I previously made the pork potstickers, I ended up slightly overcooking them so this time I lowered my heat some as stoves do vary in temperature. I followed the original guideline of adding water and oil to a skillet and placing the potstickers in, flat side down, and covering for about 8 minutes. I then tried flipping them and browning on all sides as I found the last ones to be a bit undercooked on some sides. These did not end up browning like I had hoped but they still cooked decently well.

These potstickers were fairly crisp on all sides and didn't have that same chewy, undercooked issue that I had with the pork potstickers. I did enjoy the overall texture and was pleased with how well they cooked. I would recommend following the original instructions but don't be afraid to try some different techniques if it doesn't meet your preferences.

The best part about these, is the amount of filling you get. I am very impressed that you will not find empty pockets of just dough anywhere on these. The chicken tastes moist and flavorful mixed in with the cabbage and carrots. They also do not contain any MSG that is not naturally found in soy sauce and yeast. I really love the idea of how quick these can be prepared and the fact that they really can be a good meal on their own. I highly recommend giving these a try!

In the comments below, let me know if you have tried any Pagoda snack products and which is your favorite.

As always any requests, questions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Talk to you soon!
