Fall Centerpiece

What You'll Need:

- Plastic bag
- Paper plate or a lid to a jar
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- Disposable plastic container about 6" diameter (I used an old salsa container)
- Knife
- Flowers, fake or real (up to you)
- Assorted fall color acrylic paint
- 30 clothespins
- Florist foam
- Bamboo skewers
- Decorative small pumpkin
- Ribbon

Step 1:
Spread your plastic bag on to a work surface. Pour your paint colors onto a paper plate. Paint clothespins on one side and in between the handles, you can leave the other side unpainted. Paint at least two coats and let fully dry. Be sure you can still open the clothespins so don't paint them closed.

Step 2:
Cut the lip off plastic container so that it's about 1" tall. Clip clothespins to container, arranging them close together with painted side facing out. I made mine two different colors so I arranged them by alternating every other color.

Step 3:
Cut florist foam to fit inside container. Place inside container.

Step 4:
Insert your flowers and pumpkin in container, use the skewers if you need more support for any of the items.

Step 5:
Wrap ribbon around the center of clothespins and either tie with a bow or tuck behind clothespins in back.

The Final Product:
