My Favorite Recipe Websites

9:00 AM

Today I would like to share with you my favorite recipe resource websites. I am the type of cook who likes to try out new recipes fairly often. I try to make at least one new recipe a month and if I am able, once a week. I do not like eating the same things over and over again. Staple recipes are a great thing but I definitely lean toward being more adventurous and trying out new things when I get the chance.

My Top 5:

This website I found on Pinterest, which is an obvious great source of endless recipe ideas. I stumbled upon her pinterest page and immediately was amazed by her ability to make so many treats healthy and sin free. She is an active poster and gives plenty of good ideas when it comes to calming your sweet tooth without all the guilt attached. She is not only focused on desserts, but those are the recipes I have tried the most.

My favorite recipe from this site is the Cherry Pie Protein Overnight Oats.

South Your Mouth

This is a website that focuses on all the comfort food I grew up with. I am from the south and my grandmother was an amazing southern cook. These recipes provide me a sense of my childhood while also teaching me some new things that I had yet to try. I wouldn't classify this as the healthiest recipe option, but you can work and modify any recipe to your liking and I personally believe that moderation is the key. No reason you can't enjoy some fried chicken every now and again.

My favorite recipe from this site is the Oven Barbecued Chicken.

This is not a typical blog but this subreddit has really inspired me to eat healthier without breaking the bank. There are endless recipe ideas and they cover a large spectrum of types of food as these posts are made by a community of over 200,000 people. I love browsing this subreddit when I am truly at a loss for what to make for the week or simply want to try something new and still be healthy. This is a great way to get inspired and if you are comfortable, sharing your recipe with many other people.

My favorite recipe from this site is the Edible Cookie Dough

This blog focuses on vegan friendly recipes and while I personally am not a vegan, I always incorporate at least one meatless dinner every week. Not only do they provide tasty healthy recipes, but the blog itself is extremely well designed. I love the animations they use for their recipes and the overall design is very amusing. Even if you don't like main dish meals to be purely vegan, these recipes can easily be used for side dish ideas as well. I would highly recommend giving the vegan recipes a try without any bias, healthy things can be tasty!

My favorite recipe from this site is the Tortilla Soup.

This site is hands down my constant resource. I feel like I have tried every recipe or at least considered it because this site provides the best of both worlds. Budget friendly, tasty and healthy food. You really can't get much better. On top of that, everything is broken down for you so you can easily fit each recipe into your budget and know just how far you can stretch a dollar. The pictures make every dish look very appetizing and the overall structure of the site is easy to read and navigate.

My favorite recipe from this site is the Honey Spice Chicken Thighs.

I hope you check out these sites and let me know of your favorites or if you've tried a recipe from any of these, please share!

As always any requests, comments, or questions are greatly appreciated! Talk to you soon!
