Birchbox May 2015

Full size palette: $20

These are satiny smooth shadows that can be worn as a neutral every day look and layered for a more dramatic night look. They swatch nicely, as this was done with no primer used. The last color was quite light when swatched but I could see this being more vibrant when being used with a primer. Overall I do like the colors and the pigmentation and I would consider buying the palette.

Full Size: $26 to $55

This stress-dissolving scent mixes light notes of grapefruit with star jasmine, sandalwood and Egyptian myrrh. This is meant to be used as a form of an aromatherapy type oil. I personally do not care for this scent at all. It is a very earthy all natural scent which isn't too overwhelming but it is not something I personally care for. I would not buy the full size of this product.

Full Size: $40

This oil is loaded with antioxidants and the lightweight formula hydrates hair and boosts shine. All you need is a few drops to make this product work wonders. This brand is a preferred brand of mine when it comes to hair products. The scent is more natural or earthy but it is not too strong and is one that I can manage considering how well the product works. The treatment does great things to your hair and holds true to it's word with promising nourished hair. I would consider purchasing the full size of this product.

Full Size: $24

This is a lightweight, vitamin packed hydrating gel that brightens skin and goes on cucumber-cool. This is a very moisturizing product, the scent is light and not very noticeable. It does the job and does not irritate my sometimes sensitive skin. Overall this isn't too unique to the other moisturizers I use but it is decently priced. I may consider purchasing this product in the future.

Full Size: $32

This is a hydrating electrolyte-infused mist that revitalizes, preps skin, and helps lock in makeup. This is very similar to the MAC Prep and Prime Fix+ that I have used for years. The price is a bit high for my liking but you get what you pay for. It hydrates and keeps my makeup set all day. The sample size of this product was a tad disappointing but it was enough to test with. I would consider purchasing the full size of this product.

My May 2015 Birchbox is valued at about $25
I pay $10 a month for this subscription service, so I got an extra value of $15 this month.
Overall, I am disappointed with this month's box. My overall value was quite low and most of the products were very small, This would be my least favorite box so far this year. My favorite product from the box was the eyeshadow quad.

As always any questions, requests, or comments are greatly appreciated. Talk to you soon!
